Volleyball is a sport first introduced by the YMCA movement.

IMKA Polonia have opened a new junior section for girls (under 19). Training takes place together with the seniors on Saturday mornings between 10-12 at St. Benedicts School in Ealing.

The team is currently competing in the English Volleyball Association's National Womens K.O Cup 2009/2010 competition.

Results so far this season:

Round 1 (10.09.2009) Oxford Students 1 - 3 IMKA (Away - 23-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-19)

Round 2 (15.11.2009) IMKA 3 - 0 Loughborough Students (Home/St. Benedict's 25-18, 25-9, 25-21)

Round 3 (03.01.2010) IMKA 3 - 0 Malory Eagles (Home 25-15, 25 - 17, 25 - 18)

The team have now reached the last eight (quarter-finals) which is their best achievement to date. The finals are due to be played at the end of April 2010 at the National Sports Centre in Crystal Palace.

It goes without saying, we all wish the team the best of luck in these finals and all future competitions.
